Reposted from the One Love Movement Blog. This was written in response to the Obama administration's recent announcement that it will now focus immigration enforcement on people with criminal records.

Monday January 17th - MLK Day of Action

Many in the Cambodian-American community are facing a holiday season without their brothers, sons, friends and fathers.

On August 12th, Philadelphians gathered to protest the detention and deportation of Ly Hov Khol, a refugee of the Khmer Rouge Regime and an active member of Philadelphia's Cambodian-American community. Ly was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and is now being held at a detention center out of state, awaiting his impending deportation to Cambodia.
