At a time when jobs, education and social services are being cut in the name of the economic crisis, we face a critical need to build a social movement that extends beyond major urban centers. On Martin Luther King Day, Monday January 17th, join us to honor MLK and all the families that make up our city and our movement.

"How does one determine whether a law is just or unjust? A just law is a man-made code that squares with the moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law. Any law that uplifts human personality is just. Any law that degrades human personality is unjust."
-- Martin Luther King Jr., Letter from Birmingham Jail, 1963
